in case of accident
Here we explain how to act in case of an accident during your car rental with Sicily by Car
Most importantly: if you or any of the vehicle's passengers are injured and need medical assistance, you must immediately call the emergency number: 112. This way you will receive the help you need.
In case of accident (no matter how minor) involving another vehicle, you must complete the friendly accident declaration, delivering the documentation to Sicily by Car within a maximum of 48 hours.
In the glove compartment you will find a friendly accident report. Don't forget to fill in all your details, especially the name of the other driver involved, their ID number, phone number, license plate, model, insurance company and policy number of their vehicle. Finally, the drivers involved in the accident must sign the document.
If you have difficulty with the language, or cannot reach an agreement, we advise you to call the police to help you with the friendly accident report.
Remember that you must inform us of any accident or incident that occurs with the vehicle, no matter how minor, and even if there is no other driver involved. You can do this by calling us at (+34) 965 509 966 or sending us an email at alicante.apt@sbcspain.es.
The Sicily by Car team will be responsible for assessing whether you can continue driving the vehicle or if you should go to the office to make a change.
If the vehicle cannot continue driving, you must contact our roadside assistance service by calling (+34) 900 104 020, provide your license plate number and your exact location.
